The Idol of the Tel Halaf type is characterized by her seated posture with her knees drawn up to her large thighs, arms support large pendulous breasts. Remains of line painting--Eyes and eye lashes indicated.  Dark banded decoration. Unusually Large ~ Truly a rare piece.Period: Early-Mid 5th Millennium BC. Material: Hand-formed buff Terracotta with some pigmented banding.Height: 3-5/8in. (9.2 cm).
