It has a beautiful red ground colour and stacks of green running through the guls. There is also a particularly attractive sky blue that traverses  the middle of the rug, but only over a few inches (in the North/South direction) Good original pile height over most of the rug, there is a slightly low area, right of centre. There are many small holes (approx 12), each of which has been lovingly couched onto a dark brown backing material. I would like to stress that, in my opinion, this rug is NOT VIABLE FOR ECONOMICAL REPAIR!!!
