Description
Extremely rare figurine of possibly Roman-Egypt or Celtic origin. I found this object in a field next to an Iron Age Hill Fort in Bedfordshire, UK. The figurine stood most likely on a plinth, it is approx 40mm tall and 20mm wide on the widest part. My research doesn't give a conclusive ID after consulting several experts, it is pointing in the direction that it comes possibly from the Roman-Egypt or Celtic time (nobody have seen something like this). It would possibly have stood in a private shrine or place of worship. The figurine possibly represented a god or some sort of mythological meaning of worship. With a lot more time spend on research, it could prove that this little figurine is worth a few thousand pounds. If you have any questions or if you know what it is, please contact me. Best of luck
