SHIPPING FREE! ... WORLDWIDE! ... FREE SHIPPING!Spectacular French complete sewing set in black ebonized lacquered music wood box with Mother of Pearl shield cartouche and escutcheon (cartouche has a small inconsequential hairline on top right point). Box measures 7 1/2" X 5 1/4". Key works. The MUSIC BOX plays a sketchy Bach tune, it does not play perfectly and I can't recognize the tune. It winds up on bottom with a little key (it must've originally played automatically when box was opened, but now plays continuously after it is wound ... until it finishes - even if box is closed). There are two holes in the back of the box, which was probably where music box mechanism originally was. Inside, the mirror is stained, but is all there and not broken. The piping around the mirror is missing and should be replaced because mirror is a bit loose. The original pillow is present and in good condition. The top lift-out tray contains all the original pieces. 4 snowflake THREAD WINDERS (one broken), which sit on wells with mirrors on the base of the well, crystal SCENT FLASK with sterling silver screw on top - threaded neck of perfume bottle is broken, but it is concealed by top and top closes well despite the missing glass). The cap is hallmarked. The tools are all made of mother of pearl and gilded sterling silver. And they are in excellent, working condition. EMBROIDERY PUNCH with silver shield, KNITTING NEEDLE ENDS, 2 pairs of SCISSORS - each a little different. One has hallmark that I can't make out, THIMBLE (has oval gold cartouche - probably made for engraving, but pansy is not there) - teeny unimportant chip inside rim, CROCHET NEEDLE etui that opens and (has steel needle inside which fits into the end which unscrewed and then replaced by screwing the finial in and inserting the crochet needle in the inner thread), SEWING NEEDLE - it's too short for space, so I'm assuming it has been filed down in the past, BODKIN CASE, also with gold oval cartouche. This doesn't close tightly - may have had some material around inner lid to keep it tight - there is also a repaired crack to the edge of the neck (not noticeable when closed). Tray lifts out and there's more room inside for storage. SHIPPING & PAYMENT FREE registered, insured, airmail to anywhere in the world.Payment by PAYPAL, US$ money order, or US$ personal check (requires 10 days to clear).
