Rare Vintage Apollo Harp made in Boston Massachusetts Start Price USD 800.00 Current Price USD 800.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Saturday, November 29, 2008 End Time Saturday, December 06, 2008 Location Sutton, MA See more about 'Rare Vintage Apollo Harp made in Boston Massachusetts' Description Is this a gem or what!  In a very sturdy wooden/leathered case with locks that work (but the leather handle is broke but the mounts are still intact if you can replace the handle) I have a complete Apollo Autoharp that was manufactured in Boston, Massachusetts and dates back to 1895 (stamped on the back) which contains the instrument, pluck, tuning tool, music stand, chord overlay and the original music instruction book with Autoharp music!  To have all of these original items together is truly amazing.  This really is a beautiful instrument and I'm pretty sure it has the original strings as I've never replaced them.  One string broke when I tried to tune it years ago (it could be reattached but surely replaceable) and I've included in the case.  This instrument in nearly perfect condition - the chord overlay has a little wear and tear from using it but nothing that prevents it from continuing to be used.  The sound board is also in nearly perfect condition as well - a couple of dings but certainly nothing that takes away from the character of the instrument.  My grandmother, who used to own this as a child played it for me about a year before she passed away about 13 years ago and then it sounded great - she really could play it well!  She passed it on to me and I really haven't done anything with it or anyone to pass it to which is why I am selling it so someone else could enjoy it – after all it’s got the instruction book and music!  Have fun bidding on this and I hope it finds a nice home with someone who could appreciate this blast from the past.  Please ask for the original pictures and others if you like.
