These pebble tools are the oldest tools found in Europe INDUSTRY-CULTURE Lower Paleolithic SITE LOCATION This pebble tool was found in the upper gravel terraces of the Garonne River, south of Toulouse France SIZE Length : 150 mm Width : 63 mm Thickness : 60 mm Weight : 0.496 kg DESCRIPTION Tag-Label: None Patina: Typical grey quartz from the Garonne gravel terraces Form-Shape: Made on a large pebble, with a rounded base and worked pointed trihedral distal end.
