It has a Mahogany Case with a rich, Deep Mahogany Patina.It is in good condition.The Box is embellished with Marquetry Banding framing the perimeter of the top and front.There is a silhouette on the where there was once Central Cartouche. It is just a shadow now.The Lid raises to reveal the gorgeous Automation of the Music Box. This Music Box is quite rare in that it is Coin Operated. Placing a coin (1 cent) in the slot on the right activates the music. It plays a different tune for each cent. The original instructions are located on the inside of the Lid.The List of 10 Tunes is also located there.The Tunes are loud and crisp.The time consuming task of creating these Music Boxes took the skill and perseverance of someone as gifted as a clock maker.
