Description
This is a fine "red eye" model (so named for the decoration on the machine) Singer sewing machine with a model number of G8541095.  According to the Singer website it is vintage 1921, made in New Jersey.  Included is an absolutely beautifully grained oak cabinet with no nicks or scratches.  You'd never guess that this piece is almost NINETY YEARS OLD.  Included are the instruction book and several attachments (which I've never used / tried so cannot speak to these other than to mention their existence). This sewing machine worked (that is, the treadle made the mechanics work) until the belt broke a couple of years ago.  That is this only issue that I'm aware of.  I'm told that replacement belts are available but I cannot confirm or deny.  Both the cabinet and the machine are really pretty.  It does not fit my decor and I've held on to it since buying it about 25 years ago but it's a waste to let this sit. Please let me know if you have questions and good luck.  If you like antiques in very fine condition, this may be for you.Prefer buyer picks up locally.  Should buyer require shipping, 48 state shipping will be via Freighter and Craters, insured.  Buyer will have to pay up to the first $100 of shipping.  The size and nature of this items requires special handling and Seller will use her discretion in getting this item to Buyer via "best way" and will keep in constant communication with Buyer throughout the process.
