They are highly decorative with intricate floral designs cast on the heavy lead pewter infrastructure with colorful floral paintings on the reverse sides of the four glass panels in each fixture which are wonderfully highlighted when lit. There are some imperfections caused by aging on several of the paintings (which in our opinion only give them more character) and the hinged top on one needs soldering to be perfect but doesn't effect the look or functioning. Close inspection reveals that there is hand painting on some of the metal decorative. These are very rare looking lamps which likely date back to the 1920s or earlier.
