I am his daughter, and my dad has been ill so he asked me to help him with auctioning some of his floats. This is one of the prized pieces in my dad's float collection, and he tells me this is a very special item. It appears many different shades of purple, depending on the light that it is held up in. Sitting up on the shelf it looks dark, almost black from certain angles. But held up in the light it appears a much lighter purple. Out in the sunshine the color really stands out, and you can also see rings or swirls in the glass. The other collectors who have seen this ball have been very fascinated with it.This is a genuine japanese fishing float, which appears to be worked very little, if at all, so it is in Excellent Condition.This one is a keeper.
