Description
Electric Motor after Daniel Davis Jr. Electric Motor after Daniel Davis Jr. This is a beautiful replica of an electric motor as it was built by Daniel Davis Jr. of Boston (before 1850). It is called a revolving bell engine. The replica is made by a professional instrumentmaker and is of high quality workmanship using authentic materials as a carbonsteel magnet, mahagony base, brass fittings, cotton covered wire coil and a cast bronze bell. As the motor runs the bell strikes once every few seconds. The motor runs on a 1.5 volt normal battery cell. This is a truly unique item, wich is practically impossible to find as an original because they are museum pieces. For more information, please look at the website: http://physics.kenyon.edu/EarlyApparatus/Titlepage/Davis.html The movie will show you the motor in action. Also see my other motor (Page's revolving magnet, separate listing)
