This great old box is a prime example of the Shaker craftsmanship.  I believe this box to be old and orginal as Ms. Hamilton worked closely with the musem at Pleasant Hill.  The box has been in my home and has never been offered for sale before today. The box is large measuring 14 1/4 inches across and is 6 3/4 tall overall. The sides of the box are heavy and measure close to 1/2" thick. Great blue paint, robin egg blue, and is original to the box, the top is sq. banded while the box has button hole bands each with early brads. Small piece of wood missing from the band, but not significant. Please email with questions or request for additional pictures before auction ends.
