The bronze pommel is anthropomorphic, 2 women’s heads.   Dimensions: Total length 85 cm. (33,46 inch). Handle from the blade to the end of pommel 14,5 cm. Width of pommel 8,6 cm. Height of woman’s head on the pommel 16,9 cm. Cross guard 8,6 cm. Width of blade 4,3 cm. Thickness of tang 1,4 – 0,5 cm.   There are two kinds of Celtic sword. The most common is the "long" sword, which usually has an abstract anthropomorphic hilt made from organic material, such as wood, bone, or horn. These swords also usually had an iron plate in front of the guard that was shaped to match the scabbard mouth. The second type is a "short" sword with either an abstract or a true anthropomorphic hilt of copper alloy.
