If this would be your first book on samplers, don't order it- you'll choke on the price when you see that it really isn't very imposing physically- in fact, it's a slim volume. The value is in the importance of Betty Ring's collection, and this book as a record of it. Softcover. 8.5”x11”, 112 pages, color illustrations. A little very light wear, but overall in nice, clean condition. PLEASE NOTE however, that this is a typical E.P. Dutton non-fiction book of the 1980s, meaning it is "perfect bound" (the pages are glued in, not sewn in). This was a popular method of book making at the time (in fact, it still is) but it does not make for wonderful bindings, especially with large but slender books such as this. If you grab this and spread it all the way open, the pages will go pop! pop! pop! and fall out. So don't do that. These books are just fine for everyday reference work if they are handled with a little care, but at $350, you don't want to spread-eagle it on the table, or you're not going to be happy with what happens next... - QUESTIONS about this item?
