Generally they are done in a hand painted Floral design on the base and side plate.   So many of these machines are worn almost completely bare and are very rusty with missing/damaged parts - but this one has to be an above average example. Considering it's VERY old age - this Sewing Machine is in very good overall condition - with only some small areas of paint loss and signs of wear ! There does not appear to be any missing parts or serious damage that is visible or that I am aware of. This machine runs very smoothly with no binding or roughness , appears to be fully functional for use and would make an excellent addition to your collection for display !
