John Broadwood & Sons is the oldest and one of the most prestigious piano companies in the world. Their instruments have been enjoyed by such famous people as Mozart, Haydn, Chopin, Beethoven and Liszt. The company holds the Royal Warrant as manufacturer of pianos to the Queen Elizabeth ll. This piano survived both world wars in England and was imported to California in the late 1970's where it stayed untill I purchased and shipped it to Tampa, FL about 2 years ago. The piano plays wonderfully and the only thing it needs is a re-tune to be perfect. It is made of beautiful rich walnut which is rare, most came in Rosewood and it also has solid ivory keys. In addition the pedals are in perfect working order, even the 'Una Corda' pedal which shifts the entire action and keyboard. The action is very responsive. Condition of this Specific Piano This piano is being sold as used. This piano does not need much if any restoration. It can be an absolutely beautiful focal piece in your home or office. Exceptional condition especially when you consider that his piano is at least over 120 years old. There is no stool with this piano. Payment is Due in full within 7 days of Auction Ending.
