FINE  HANDMADE CHANTILLY LACE  SHAWL' Description   MARIA NIFOROS FINE ANTIQUE LACE, LINENS, & TEXTILES   Description: Circa 1860's,a beautiful handmade Chantilly lace triangular shawl....a beautiful fien design, large flower bouquest, masses of flowers and vines, oranmental scrollwork and scattered Point De Esprit throughout the large shawl.The finest threads were used in these handmade Chantilly lace shawls...Measuring..apprx 110"This is a shawl that needs attention.... most of these large Chantilly shawls were made  in lengths and then attached together... this needs work... there are soem splits at the top.a few smaller ones at the bottom.a few areas that need repairing and  one long repair< badly done>. My thoughts..... a good lacemaker  can make this work.... not for a novice.........NEEDS WORK........ but alot here for use as examples if desired.
