IT IS NOT A NEW COPY OR REPRODUCTION.~ *SEE MY STORE FOR MORE NAUTICAL LANTERNS & LIGHTS!   This is a BRITISH NAVEL VESSEL WWII Era Copper & Brass Port Navigation Light. It measures 12.5" tall by 15" point to point across the front and is 11" long down each side. The light weighs 22 pounds before packing. It has a handle on top and a lid clamp with 5 bolts and wing-nuts. The word "PORT" is embossed on the top/lid towards the front and there is a number that appears to be a serial number engraved on the clamp. The front of the lantern has a 2" x 1 1/2" brass plate just below the glass with the following; "A P8024 B.T.H.1942".  Inside the light is an insert with ruby red glass. This is to show 'RED or PORT' when the light is lit. This insert may be removed to show 'CLEAR or RUNNING' light. The body of the light has some dents from useage at sea {see pix}. The Brass & Copper is very eye catching and would display Beautifully in your home. The lights glass lense is in Nice Condition having NO cracks.  * This light has been rewired for use in your home.
