Description Up for your consideration is this wonderful 1930/40's Americana wooden sewing box that looks like it might have been a project in “shop class” to give Mom for Christmas!!  It is a real cutie with scalloping on bottom and top, little wooden knobs to open each side, and a sturdy handle for carrying.  It is the perfect size to carry from room to room!   For its age and use this box is in very good condition.  The hinges are strong and intact.  It needs a new coat of paint, or some tole painting??? to make it shine again.  There are the obvious scrapes, scratches, tiny bit of wood loss on some of edges and a few white spots of paint.  The “protective” feet on the bottom are wearing away on three corners and the fourth is missing.  The two ends show some slight hairline cracks.
