1920s Priscilla sewing box stand No Reserve good cond Start Price USD 34.99 Current Price USD 34.99 Time Left - Bid Count 1 Buy It Now Price USD 175.00 Reserve Price - Start Time Wednesday, November 26, 2008 End Time Wednesday, December 03, 2008 Location Warm Springs, GA See more about '1920s Priscilla sewing box stand No Reserve good cond' Description Antique sewing box stand.  Stand is called a "Priscilla"--probably in refernce to the early 20th century treadle sewing machine of that name.  Stands about 24 inches tall (not counting handle).  Box area is about 9 inches deep, 11 inches in length, and 10 1/2 inches in width.  Has removal 4 compartment tray.  Overall this unique item is in good shape.  A repair has been made on one of the leg braces, but doees not detract from overall beauty.  Some scratches, but something like Old English would probably clear that right up.  Wood is probably gum stained to resemble a darker wood.    Included is a picture from a 1920's magazine showing this box as well a recent article from an antique gazette (see photos below).  Article stated that in 1996 a similar sewing box was valued at $165.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at janierose@windstream.net.
