A needle case in good shape for its age containing some of its old needles made in Redditch, England.  Case has wear, has on front side of case a a flower with stems, and "NEEDLES" written on left side of case.  Case is 4 fold case, back of case has the England emblem.  In the case is written "Superfine Sewing Needles", Made in Patented, Aug. 11, 1914, No. 1106778.  Redditch, England.  First fold has 5 large eye needles, written on first fold is 1088057, Feb. 24, 1914, needles have discoloration, from age.  In second fold is a black flap and when you lift it are large amount of smaller needles, marked with their sizes underneath.  3rd fold has nothing but beige cover, fourth fold 1 hole puncher needle, and several missing, marked on this fold is Patent No. 1088057, Feb 24, 1914.   I think its amazing how far this item has travelled in history to get here.  Case measure 5 1/4 in. by 3 3/8 in.  This case has a black string to wrap around and hold it and carry it.  Due to its age it is a delicate piece of history and i didn't want to try taking the needles out, but it is definitely made well to last this long.  I can't tell you the material of the case, i know it not leather, it feels like a light cloth.  Great for Historical Collectors!!!!
