Description
"Die Glasersammlung des Nordbohmischen Gewerbe-Museums in Reichenberg" By Gustav E. Pazaurek. Published in Leipzig by Verlag von Karl W. Hiersemann: 1902. A spectacular, oversized portfolio of plates illustrating fine antique glass in the collection of the North Bohemia Industrial Museum, consisting mainly of European engraved glasses from the Middle Ages through the early 19th century. Pazaurek was the Director of the Wurttembbergischen Landes-Gewerbemuseum and the author of a number of studies of antique European glass. Duncan 9947. Hardcover. 12.5"x17.5", 27 pages with 18 black & white illustrations in the text, plus 3 color and 37 black & white plates, loose in portfolio, as issued. Portfolio quite worn, flaps torn, but contents and plates fine. We bought this, along with many other books, from antique glass scholar & author Paul Hollister, who tells a story in the American Glass Club Bulletin about diving under a table at a bookstore to retrieve several of the loose plates in this book.
