Email me if you are looking for a particular "view".   This chart came out of the USC&GS  "ATLANTIC COAST PILOT, DIVISION B,  BOSTON TO NEW YORK, SECOND EDITION 1880". The paper is not the heavy chart paper but is not the light paper like the Coast Survey charts which come out of Coast Surveys of earlier years. This is an edition of the "Atlantic Coast Pilot" not "Coast Survey". This paper has a watermark which is "CRANE & CO.  DALTON, MASS. 1880". It is a light but tough paper.   These charts were folded and will be shipped that way. They need to be flattened. They are black ink on light off white paper. These charts can be hand colored. Fantastic detail.   This chart is "LONG ISLAND SOUND FROM PLUM ISLAND TO FALKER'S ISLAND 1880". .   Along the bottm section is the northern part of the eastern end of Long Island. Shown are (east to west and, more or less, north to south in that area): PlumIsland, Gardiner's Bay, Three Mile Harbor, Oyster Pond, Orient, Orient Harbor, Coecle's Harbor Inlet, Shelter Island Sound, Sag Harbor, Shelter Island, Greenport, Noyack Bay, Southhold, Southold Bay, Little Peconic Bay, Cuchogue, Mattituck, Frankville, James Port, Great Peconic Bay, Jacobs Hills, and much much more. Along the top of the chart are: (east to west along the Connecticut shore), Grant's Neck, Griswold's Island, Saybrook, Cornfield Point, Westbrook, Clinton, Hammonasset Point, Madison, Guilford Harbor, Falkner's Island and much much more.  Many Light Houses shown.  Great topograhical detail along with equally as great hydrograhical detail.
